The dynamic monitoring and investigation of lake water level is of great significance for the research on lake resource utilization, water cycle and ecological environment change. ICESat-1 / GLAS laser altimetry data have been widely used in the monitoring of global land cover, forest vegetation and polar ice sheet changes, but relatively few studies have been conducted on the monitoring of inland water bodies such as lakes and rivers. This research systematically analyzed the research progress of using GLAS data and GLAS and other satellite altimeter data and optical remote sensing data to jointly retrieve the physical parameters of lakes at home and abroad. The key technologies and difficulties of this data in lakes application such as GLAS The accuracy of data and the automatic extraction of lake footprints. The existing problems in the current research are analyzed in order to provide reference for the hydrological application of the upcoming high-grade mapping satellite No. 7 in our country.
