In African political arena, the leaders who have been ruling for many years are not few, but the “evergreens” probably want to count the number of Bongo, the small Central African nation, Gabon. He has served as president since 1967 and has been in existence for 38 years now. In the recent presidential election, he was reelected for another seven years. Currently, he is already the longest-serving president in African politics and another seven years, he will become a veritable “evergreen tree.”
