【Objective】 The research on the influence of low CO_2 atmospheric concentration on terrestrial plants on the potential impact of predicting the increase of CDAC, assess the dynamic changes of community composition and ecosystem functions, and explore the carbon cycle of terrestrial ecosystems under the global climate change from the evolutionary time scale All have very important meanings. 【Method】 The effects of low CDAC on plant individuals and ecosystems, the evolutionary adaptation of plants and the interaction between low CDAC and other environmental factors were analyzed. 【Result】 Low CDAC showed great restrictive effects on the survival, growth and reproduction of plants, which was unfavorable to the development of forest ecosystems and affected plants in coordination with factors such as water, temperature and nutrient supply. 【Conclusion】 The evolutionary adaptation of plants to low CDAC during geological history may limit the response of plants to elevated CDAC in the future, and relevant researches deserve further study.
