异烟肼治疗肺结核在临床上应用后不久,就有学者观察到成年病人有因应用异烟肼而引起周围神经系统疾病的,它的特征是在四肢相当于戴手套与长袜的部位发生对称性的麻木与刺痛,这些症状在足部比手部出现得早,且较严重。在早期,以知觉上的表现为主,稍后则发生感觉异常,肌肉与骨骼疼痛,触觉减退,感觉过敏,振动觉与体位觉减弱,腱反射亢进或迟纯,运动失调,肌肉软弱或麻痺.服用大剂量异烟肼的病人发生这种神经系统疾病时,不但较快,且较严重,虽然症状出现的时间愈长,则消失所需的时间也长,但停药后,这些症状就有消退的趋向.这些神经系统疾病有时偶可用菸草酸使之缓解,但不受维生素 B_1与 B_2的影响。曾有报告由于应用异菸肼而出现类似陪拉格情况者,但是菸草酸缺乏的临床征象与异菸肼引起的神经系就中毒并不相似,同时后者用菸草酸治疗是无反应的。应用异菸肼的一般剂量(即每天300毫克)时,
