ARKive在当今世界,物种的灭绝速率之高前所未有,因此强化人们的意识、对其开展教育显得至关重要。影像资料直观、感性的特点,注定它们能更有效地实现这一目的。在当今的数码时代,有必要创造更好的条件,方便人们快捷便利地接触到这样的影像资料。然而,这些影像资料散布于世界上的各个角落,收藏者林林总总,不一而同。迄今为止,没有统一的机构或组织来管理这些资料,导致公众难以访问,其教育的作用也大打折扣,其长期的保存也存在诸多问题。
ARKive In today’s world where species are extinct at an unprecedented rate, it is crucial to strengthen people’s awareness of and educate them. The visual and emotional characteristics of the imagery doomed them more effectively for this purpose. In today’s digital age, it is necessary to create better conditions for people to access such images quickly and easily. However, these images are scattered in all corners of the world and collectors are mixed together. So far, there is no unified agency or organization to manage these materials, making it hard for the public to access and their education has been greatly discounted. There are also many problems with its long-term preservation.
