Since the pathophysiology of Meniere’s disease has not been fully elucidated so far, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between endolymphatic sac hydrops and auditory nerve action potential (AP) and potential (a) by the experimental endolymphatic sac occlusion and endolymphatic sac aspiration in guinea pigs SP) and cochlear microphones (CM). The experimental results showed that the AP and CM potentials at 500 Hz were higher in the mild endophthalmitis group than in the control, which is an abnormal AP and CM response exhibited in some Meniere’s disease with obvious fluctuating deafness (Baba , 1980). As the endolymphatic hydrops increased, CM output potential decreased. However, the AP output potentials are relatively well maintained when boosting the sound. In the endolymphatic sac to attract, AP and CM maintained better. In the lymphatic hydrops increased AP latency.
