高建平新著《西方美学的现代历程》是一本兼具思想性与文学性的西方美学研究作品。该书成书时间前后长达15年之久,其中部分章节的撰写始自1996年和1997年之交,最晚成稿的章节写于2012年,从写作时长即可见作者的良工苦心。贯穿该书的思考脉络为,呈现西方现代美学从形成到被消解再到回归这一历程中的闪光点及其启发性。同时,作者也把关注点放在西方美学在中国的接受和变化过程上,关注在中国影响大争论多,对当代中国美学的发展起过重要作用的一些观点和学派,结合中国来谈世界。该书是一本论文集,但细读下来便会发现,各篇看似分散
