The lady in this painting (figure 1) is a mother of compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao and one of my closest friends who have exchanged their love for half a century. The friend returned to China in 1952 to join the revolutionary work and was isolated from his mother until he was allowed to visit Hong Kong in 1984. When she came back, she brought back the portraits of middle-aged mothers, daughters of precious works hanging in her mother’s home for decades, to solve the thirst of their parents. Unexpectedly, returning home to start her painting, she was shocked: this piece of masterpiece due to poor packaging and serious damage, beyond recognition (Figure 2). A large area of oil was powdered powder off. Mother’s image, the value of art appreciation, all destroyed. She is very sad, turn to me, hoping to find someone who can restore the youth of oil painting art. Big crowd, I immediately think of a figure - China Institute of cultural relics protection researcher Hu Ji
