《封神演义》改编为电视剧,播出之后,引起广大观众的浓厚兴趣。其中正面人物周武王姬发、军师姜子牙等,大家十分同情,非常尊敬;对惨无人道的昏君商纣王和“助纣为虐”的申公豹,大家切齿痛恨。毛主席认为:“武王伐纣是当时的人民解放战争”(见新版毛选第四卷1495页)。抗日战争时期,毛主席就痛斥过申公豹。当然,他不是痛斥历史上的申公豹,而是借古讽今,痛斥当代现实中的“申公豹”,即国民党里面的反共顽固派。这是我在延安亲历的一件事。

During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Chairman Mao denounced Shen Gongbao. Of course, instead of denouncing Shen Gongbao in history, he used the old irony to denounce the “Shen Gongbao” in contemporary reality, that is, the anti-Communist diehards in the Kuomintang. This is one of the things I experienced in Yenan.
