January 3, 2014 Angang Steel’s board of directors approved the joint venture with Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Xichang Steel and Vanadium Co., Ltd. to build a high-strength galvanized automobile sheet project in Chongqing. The project plans to build an annual output of 450,000 t 1 650mm high-strength galvanized sheet production line and its corresponding supporting public facilities, mainly for high-end automotive products board. The project expected financial internal rate of return of 12.22%, estimated total investment recovery period of 9.1 years.
