The article provides a comprehensive survey of litigation cases in the Lexis Nexis database that involve the use of value-added U.S. government information and the protection of privacy. Through the quantitative and qualitative analysis of these cases, the author summarizes the privacy issues and the contradictions that arise in the value-added US government information and the regulatory provisions that address these issues. According to the judgment process and the result of the case, the article reviews the advantages and disadvantages of laws and regulations in solving the privacy issues in the value-added development and utilization of government information in the United States.
