The Pregl-Dumas method for the determination of nitrogen in organic compounds is an accurate and applicable method, but it often gives lower results for some nitrogen compounds and, like N-methyl derivatives of pyrimidines and other aza Cyclic compounds, each analysis takes up to 80 minutes.
