华东沿海是我国台风暴潮多发生地区之一,上海在华东沿海的中部,频临东海,南接杭州湾,北隔长江与江苏相望,每年5至11月受到太平洋西北部台风和南海台风的影响。黄浦江是长江最下流的支流,横贯上海市区,在吴淞口汇入长江,是一条受长江口潮汐影响较强的河流,从河口到淀峰全长113.4 公里。河口平均潮差2.3米左右, 最大潮差为4.48米。潮流界逆至浙沪省市界以上,潮区界可达苏嘉运河平湖塘一带。
East China Sea is one of the most frequent typhoon storm surges in China. Shanghai is in the east of the east China coast, frequenting the East China Sea, bordering Hangzhou Bay to the south and across the Yangtze River to the north across the Yangtze River. It receives typhoons in the northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea from May to November each year Impact. The Huangpu River is the lowest stream tributary of the Yangtze River.
