在中国古代山水画中,如果论及逸品,元代的倪瓒首屈一指。倪瓒是第一个采用“好画不求形似”这种观点的画家。他论画竹时说:“以中每爱余画竹,余之竹聊写胸中逸气耳,岂复较其似与非,叶之繁与疏,枝之斜与直哉?或涂抹久之,他人视以为麻为芦,仆亦不能强辩为竹,真没奈览者何,但不知以中视为何物耳。”这些话,道出了倪瓒
