桃江县灰山港地区一煤矿井穿水使矿井被淹,并带来地面塌陷、沉降、开裂等工程地质灾害。该煤矿区水文地质条件原属中等类型,矿井穿水是由于采坑掘进至导水性能良好的断裂,沟通了煤层间接顶底溶洞裂隙承压含水层与矿井的水力联系,使矿井大量涌水,加大泵量也无法排干,因防水闸门为方便运输已拆除,挡水无门,导致了这场灾害。
