经测定,雷州半岛的柠檬桉、窿缘桉及三种杂交桉的材性,以柠檬桉为最好。 测定了窿缘桉萌生和实生两种起源、两种杂交桉的三种类型(凸盘、凹盘及平盘)以及窿缘桉植生于其上的砖红壤性红色土和砖红壤黄红色土两种土壤类型等因子对材性的影响。就纤维长度、基本密度及生材顺压强度行进方差分析,初步结果表明;窿缘桉的两种起源之间及两种杂交桉的三个类型之间,材性均没有显著差异,生长在砖红壤性红色土的两种起源的窿缘桉的材性都优于生长在砖红壤黄红色土上者,虽然实生树的基本密度及顺压强度没有达到统计上的显著性。
