一、研究概况日本航空宇宙技术研究所从1977年开始研究航天飞机用的吸气式发动机。最初对火箭/冲压组合发动机,包括超音速燃烧进行了各种实验,并对使用火箭/冲压发动机的垂直起落式航天飞机的发射性能进行了计算,证明了其优越性。从1984年起转为超音速燃烧冲压发动机的研究。1986年,以航空宇宙技术研究所为中心开始研究使用超音速燃烧冲压发动机、飞行M数为6~12的单级往返航天飞机。为了发展这些研究成果,对超音速燃烧室进行了实验研究,下面简要介绍其结果。
