初秋,西子湖畔披上了一层迷人的金纱,格外灿烂多娇。应浙江美院的邀请,英国当代著名的金属焊接雕塑家、曼彻斯特美术学院雕塑系主任迈克先生来雕塑系作为期一个月的金属焊接雕塑讲学。 迈克先生的金属雕塑课安排在雕塑系四年级,在这一个月当中迈克先生分大小不同规模的讲座和录像教学进行授课,学生受益非浅,实践了大量的作业。在这些作业中体现着学生们对金属焊接雕塑的认识和思考,也倾注着迈克先生的汗水和心血。这一个月的教学给迈克先生的经历和学生们的学习生涯都记上难以忘怀的一笔。对我国的美术学院的雕塑教学改革和雕塑事业的发展将会产生积极地影响。 从教室到杭钢的废料场 在雕塑系的中秋节茶话会上,迈克先生热情洋溢地说:“浙江美术学院是一个非常优秀的学校,西湖非常美很可爱,我来到这里后见了许多国家的教授、学者和艺术家,学校的艺术文化交流也非常频繁。但是我可以自豪地说,学校里所有来自西方欧美的艺术家们,我是第一个到了中国杭州钢铁厂的废料厂……谢谢大家,祝大家节日愉快。”他的直爽和幽默把大家逗笑了。是的,他来中国后的第一件事就问我杭州的钢
Early autumn, the West Lake lays a layer of charming gold yarn, especially brilliant. At the invitation of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, Mr. Mike, the famous contemporary metal welding sculptor and sculpture department of the Manchester Fine Arts Institute, came to the sculpture department as a month-long soldering sculpture of metal. Mr. Michael’s metal sculpture class was arranged in the fourth grade of the sculpture department. During this month, Mr. Mike taught lectures and video-teaching of different sizes and sizes.
