Title compound was prepared from dimethyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)pyridine-3,5- dicarboxylate by hydrolysis using tetrabutylammonium bromide as PTC in MeOH-H2O(7.5∶1) at 70℃ for 5h with an overall yield of 64%.
