American researchers found that the community environment may be related to residents suffering from high blood pressure risk. If the community can provide more exercise opportunities, fewer crime cases, a healthy diet, community atmosphere and unity, residents have a lower risk of high blood pressure. Ana Dieces Rose, a professor of epidemiology at the Ann Arbor School of Public Health at the University of Michigan, participated in the study. She explained that it is easier for residents to exercise and maintain a healthy diet because they have suitable walking streets, perfect leisure and entertainment facilities and convenient and healthy foods to help relieve the stress and thus reduce the risk of hypertension. Neighborhood relationships are also linked to the prevalence of hypertension, including whether there is a good law and order situation, whether the area is easily walkable or not, and whether there is strong community cohesion between neighborhoods
