应用榄香烯胸腔内注射治疗癌性胸水２０例，结果，完全缓解１１例（５５％），部分缓解７例（３５％），无效２例（１０％）。使用榄香烯后，出现胸痛１３例（６５％），发热８例（４０％），消化道反应较轻，未发现肝、肾功能损伤，部分病人治疗后血白细胞升高。观察表明，榄香烯胸腔注入治疗癌性胸水疗效较确切，并无严重不良反应。
Twenty patients with cancerous pleural effusion were treated with elemene intrapleural injection. Results showed complete remission in 11 (55%), partial remission in 7 (35%) and ineffectiveness in 2 (10%). Thirteen cases (65%) had chest pain and 8 cases (40%) had chest pain after operation with elemene. The digestive tract reaction was mild. No liver or kidney damage was found. Some patients had leukocytosis after treatment. Observations show that, elemene intrapleural injection of cancer pleural effusion more exact effect, no serious adverse reactions.
