Foreword Known as the “roof of the world” of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, attracting a large number of Chinese and foreign geologists. Especially since the recent past, the development and evolution of the plateau has aroused great attention. Therefore, based on a large number of recent structural data, this paper discusses the characteristics of the uplift movement and the development process of the plateau as follows. The structural system of this area includes the Qinling-Kunlun zonal tectonic system (Qin Kun system), the Qinghai-Tibet type structure (Qinghai-Tibet system)
