河北杨(Populus hopeiensis Hu et Chow)由于根蘖力极强串根繁殖,群众叫它串杨,印杨。能“独木成林”,所以说是个固沙保土的好树种。主要特点是: 1.分布广泛:北至内蒙古的大青山,南至甘肃天水地区,西到甘肃定西地区,东到河北承德地区都有零星或小片林分布。河北杨不仅水平分布广泛,其垂直分布的幅度也很大,海拔高度从200米到2,000米之间都见有生长。河北杨分布的南界正好与毛白杨分布的北界相衔接,局部地区有很窄的交错带,可见河北杨比毛白杨耐寒,耐干旱,抗风沙。2.适应性强:河北杨不论是在干旱的黄
