In recent years, the comparative study of Jiangnan region and Huizhou local society is increasingly becoming the focus of attention in academia. To promote related researches, Shanghai Normal University, China Modern Society Research Center was held in Shanghai and Huizhou on December 12-15, 2007 “Comparative Regional Studies in Society - Huizhou and Jiangnan Cultural Identity and Local Development ” International Symposium.
