抗日战争时期,中国共产党领导的八路军、新四军开展了强有力的锄奸保卫工作。锄奸保卫工作坚持中国共产党的领导,执行正确的方针政策,注重加强基础建设,不仅保证了八路军、新四军的纯洁巩固,为保卫抗日根据地民主政权和人民群众的安全,巩固抗日民族统一战线,战胜日本帝国主义做出了重要贡献,而且开创了人民军队保卫工作的新局面。研究锄奸保卫工作的成功经验,对新时期人民解放军保卫工作建设仍然具有重要意义。
