最近十多天公布的一系列经济指标显示,美国经济在明显好转。商务部2月底将去年第四季度的经济增长率从原先公布的0.2％上调到了1.4％。这意味着这次经济衰退期间国内生产总值只有去年第三季度出现了下滑。今年头两个月失业率仅下降了0.3个百分点。 这次经济衰退的一个显著特点是,衰退程度特别轻微。根据目前的统计结果,这次衰退期间实际国内生产总值仅下降了0.3％,低于1969～1970年衰退期间的0.6％,为战后最轻微的一次衰退。
A series of economic indicators released in the past 10 days show that the U.S. economy is obviously improving. At the end of February, the Ministry of Commerce raised its economic growth rate in the fourth quarter of last year from 1.4% previously announced at 0.2%. This means that during the economic downturn, GDP dropped only in the third quarter of last year. In the first two months of this year, the unemployment rate dropped by only 0.3 percentage point. A notable feature of this recession is the particularly slight decline. According to the current statistics, the real GDP during this recession fell by only 0.3%, down from 0.6% during the recession from 1969 to 1970, the slightest post-war recession.
