《多功能大学英语教学词典》集多功能词典、大学英语词典与教学词典于一身,可谓前所未有,在诸多部大学英语词典中独树一帜。该词典富有较强的前瞻性与原创性,顺应了新世纪双语词典的走势,接受了新语言学理论、外语教学法、心理学、美学对词典编纂的有益影响,是目前大学英语词典中水平较高的一部,值得推荐。尽管也还存在种种问题,但毕竟是瑕不掩瑜。为此,从多功能词典、大学英语词典与教学词典的角度论述了该词典的特色,也指出了其存在的一些问题。
