高中特色课程理论是高中特色化办学的基础。从理论角度看高中特色课程应切合人本主义的教育目标、多元智能的教育内容、建构主义的教育评价;从实践角度看,高中特色课程有助于改变高中同质化办学倾向,实现高中多样化办学及学生个性化发展,有助于完善现行的高中课程评价系统,改变一考定终身的弊端;有助于建立高中三级课程融合并与高校课程接轨;有助于建立灵活多变的课程实施方案,发挥教师的创造性。
