本文从社会语言学角度出发,以Brown和Levinson的面子保全论为理论依据,对我国四大名著之一《红楼梦》中纷繁复杂的人物关系如父子、母子、夫妻、妻妾、祖孙等中表现出来的礼貌现象进行具体分析,目的是来验证面子保全论对中国古代社会中的礼貌现象是否同样具有普遍意义。本文认为,《红楼梦》作为集文学价值、美学价值等于一身的伟大创作对于社会语言学同样具有不可忽略的研究价值。
Based on the theory of face preservation of Brown and Levinson, from the perspective of sociolinguistics, this article expounds the complicated relationships between father and son, mother and son, husband and wife, wives and concubines, grandparents and grandchildren in one of the four famous works in our country Out of the phenomenon of polite concrete analysis, the purpose is to verify whether the face preservation theory of ancient China’s politeness phenomenon also has universal significance. This paper argues that the great creations of A Dream of Red Mansions as a set of literary values and aesthetic values are equally valuable to sociolinguistics.
