粒度分析是研究沉积作用不可缺少的一项重要内容,因为粒度是沉积物的主要特征之一.任何沉积物的生成都有其特定的动力学条件和生成环境,所以很多学者把沉积物粒度分布作为类比生成环境的重要依据.沉积物广布于地球的表面.研究其生成不仅有重要的理论意义,更有解决人类对矿产需求的现实意义.所以,研究沉积物的粒度分布已成为一项广泛性的,不可缺少的地质工作.研究粒度分布的首要工作是对粒径进行测量.随着人类对矿产资源的需求急剧增长和地质研究工作的深入开展,粒度分析的任务亦越来越繁重.近百年来,人们一直在寻求精确测量粒度的方法.随着科学技术水平的提高,粒度分析正在向着快速、精确的方向发展.本文介绍将SKC-2000型光透式粒度分布仪与APPLEⅡ型微处理机联用,作松散沉积物的粒度分析,既保证了精度亦提高了分析速度,是研究松散沉积物粒度分布的一种新手段.
