Wood reported a new spectrophotometric method for the determination of tertiary amines. The experiment was based on the reaction of ascorbic acid-acetic anhydride reagent (referred to as AsAA reagent) with tertiary amines. The major products showed four absorption peaks at 273, 310, 495 and 685um, and the apparent absorption coefficient at 273nm (3.85 ~ 5.35 × 10 ~ 4) the largest, that is, the most sensitive. The study of tertiary amines in the range of 1 ~ 8μg / ml showed a linear relationship, primary amine, secondary amine and quaternary ammonium did not interfere. This method can measure a single drug
