种子包衣是农业部“八五”期间重点推广的一项提高种子科技含量的农业增产技术。该技术于一九九二年被我市进行试验示范和应用推广。 几年来我市种子包衣面积迅速增加。有单一的玉米种子包衣发展到了小麦、棉花、大豆等多种作物的包衣。目前全市五县区已全部应用了种子包衣新技术,春夏播种子包衣面积167万亩,占播种面积的25％,取得了明显的社会效益和经济效益,引起了各级领导的重视。尤其是九六年以来农民要求要买带色的种子,包衣种子发展势头看好、前景广阔。
Seed coating is a key technology promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture during the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period to increase agricultural technology for seed production. The technology was tested in 1992 by our city demonstration and application of promotion. In recent years, the city’s seed coating area increased rapidly. There is a single corn seed coating developed to the wheat, cotton, soybeans and other crops coating. At present, five counties and districts in the city have all applied the new technology of seed coating. The area of seed coating in spring and summer is 1.67 million mu, accounting for 25% of the sown area. Obvious social and economic benefits have been obtained, which have attracted the attention of leaders at all levels. . In particular, since peasants demanded to buy colored seeds in 1996, the development of coated seeds is promising and has a bright future.
