一照顧和安排新生的生活新同學遠道而來,人地生疏,最迫切需要的是安定生活,熟悉環境,如果這一個環節不抓緊,不但會給新同學以不好的印象,而且會長期影響他們的學習。因此學校領導很重視這一點,總務處也在這方面做了不少工作,如佈置宿舍、床舗,組織人力到漢口、上海兩地去接南方同學,派人在火車站上照顧,用車輛接新同學到城外校址來,等等。團委會為了協助學校行政照料新生的生活,組織了在北京區錄取的党團員新生四十人,先來校做些工作。這些同學首先熟悉了環境,印發了「新同學須知」手冊,並按系成立了迎新站。當大批新同學到校的時候,他們為新同學集體辦理了報到、報戶口、領助學金、入夥、
