应越南社会主义共和国国家历史博物馆和考古研究院之邀,四川省文物考古研究院于2005年2月和12月,先后派遣两个学术考察组赴越南进行学术考察,两次考察地及场所计有:河内市、胡志明市、富寿省、永福省、头顿省等地的国家级和省级博物馆以及富寿省仁村遗址,除胡志明市、头顿省属越南南部外,其余地点均集中于越南北部的红河流域。笔者有幸参加了两次考察活动,虽走马观花,但不无感触,现将考察心得整理成文,偏颇及不当之处,敬请斧正。越南地处中南半岛东部,东面和南面临北部湾和南海,北和中国的云南、广西接壤,面积约33万平方公里。境内有大小河流1千多条,主要有红河、湄公河等。红河发源于
