经过多年努力推进强区建设,如今的南明区经济实力大幅提升国民经济持续快速健康发展,国内生产总值和财政收入名列全省前茅。2003年,全区国内生产总值完成73.5亿元,同比增长13 1％财政总收人6.16亿元,同比增长29％;地方财政收人4.24亿元,同比增长39％;固定资产投资完成20.97亿元,同比增长26.34％。城区面貌发生了历史性变化,城乡经济协调发展,人民生活总体达到小康水平,社会各项事业全面进步。南明区不仅在贵阳市,而且在全省业已处于十分重要的地位。 记者从统计部门了解到,所谓西部强区,就是在西部各个省,自治区和直辖市中,经济社会发展综合实力排在前10位的区、县、(币)。
