很早以前人们就知道寄生虫疾病与变态反应性疾病可引起嗜酸性白细胞增多,但其意义尚不明确。从它含有组胺酶与芳香硫酸酶酯来看,也可以考虑嗜酸细胞是变态反应的扫除人,现在嗜酸细胞作为引起变态反应效应细胞的作用引人注意。已知嗜酸细胞的特异颗粒含有4种蛋白,即:组基蛋白(MBP)、嗜酸细胞阳离子蛋白(ECP)、嗜酸细胞诱导神经毒素(EDN)及嗜酸细胞过氧化酶(EPO)。这些颗粒蛋白对嗜酸细胞发挥效应细胞功能起到了重要作用。以前关于嗜酸细胞与支气管哮喘,特别是气道上皮损害关系的研究结果,主要是关于MBP方面的,但是有报道说,EPO也可以杀伤细菌、寄生虫及肿瘤细胞,这就成了研究EPO损害气道上皮的契机。笔者进行了如下的实验:摘除豚鼠的气管做成厚1mm的气管轮,培养3天。3天后在规定浓度的EPO溶液中浸泡15分钟,用培养液洗净后,加入葡萄糖氧
Long ago people knew parasitic diseases and allergic diseases can cause eosinophilia, but its significance is not clear.
