３年７类３０个品种花卉大田及盆栽实验结果表明：对城市垃圾堆肥肥效显示明显作用的花卉计有２４个品种，占供试品种的８０％，它们在不同垃圾肥处理的土壤中能良好生长；少量品种（５个）不宜生长在过量垃圾肥基质中，否则会产生烧苗、死苗或僵短现象。这些结果表明，城市垃圾堆肥可以作为花卉生产的有效肥源加以推广。大田１６ｋｇ／ｍ２、盆栽肥土比１：１或１：２是花卉栽培的合适垃圾肥应用量。：显著（Ｓｉｇｎｉｆｉｃａｎｔ）；Ｎ：不显著（Ｎｏｔｆｉｇｎｉｆｉｃａｎｔ）：ＯＣ：全肥（ＯｎｌｙＣｏｍｐｏｓｔ）（表５、６亦同Ｓａｍｅｉｎｔａｂｌｅ５，６）最强。此外，非洲凌霄（Ｆ２６）的分蘖数和开花量，金鱼草的株面积及花朵量说明，这两种花卉对垃圾肥都有较强的耐肥力；而勋章花（Ｆ１６）盆栽试验证明，虽各种肥处理均优于对照，但以１：２的肥土比为最佳。不同垃圾肥处理的三色堇（Ｆ０７）生长状况优于对照，株高大１．３６～１．５６倍。株面积大１．１３～１．５４倍，而开的花朵数也比对照多，花也大。金边黄杨（Ｆ２２）是多年生木本花卉，在对照及不同处理垃圾肥的土壤中无明显差异。当然，不同花卉对垃圾肥的反应也有不同之处，桃叶珊瑚（Ｆ１８）即为一例：垃圾全肥处理?
