构造应力场是地壳构造运动在岩体中所引起的应力场,对其常规研究方法是实测,但由于费用较高,测量技术也比较复杂,在大范围内普遍开展这项工作难以实现.利用卫星遥感资料解译水系,以地貌学的理论与方法,研究水系的展布特征、规律及其形成时的构造力学条件,借助于地理信息系统,可快捷、方便地定量计算出区域新构造应力场的方向.所得结果对矿山开发规划、设计,主要井巷方位的布置和围岩稳定性评价方面具有重要的意义.
