通过分析甘薯苦丝病田间症状以及病原分离和流行因子试验,表明甘薯苦丝病是属甘薯黑斑病菌侵染与土壤缺硼所致复合症状,其发生流行与耕作制度没有明显相关性,而与品种、土壤质地、肥料种类、供水丰缺密切相关:7-3品种最感病,病薯率为595%,岩高粉、岩齿红抗性最好,病薯率小于2%;含硼量较高的紫色土病薯率明显比含硼量相对较低的沙壤土、壤土发病轻;施农家粪肥、菜籽饼肥比纯施化肥发病轻;灌溉条件好的比灌溉条件差的发病轻。
