随着人类平均年龄的普遍增高,老年人前列腺增生症的发病率亦日益增高。该病常常引起急性或慢性的尿潴留。既往此类病人有采用中西医结合治疗的,亦有采用大量雌性激素治疗的,但多数行前列腺切除术。前列腺切除术虽然能解决问题,但操作复杂,术中、术后出血较多。因此有些病人不愿接受此种手术。我院自1979年2月至1980年5月应用双侧睾丸切除术加用雌性激素治疗8例高龄病人,取得了显著效果,现介绍如下:1.术前准备经确诊的高龄尿潴留病人,入院后立即给予留置橡皮管导尿,若导尿管不能插入者,应用导管针在耻骨上1~2横指明显触知膀胱的部分穿刺膀胱,并带入口径为2.5毫米的小塑料管,固定
