Describes a fast infrared thermometer for use on a tokamak device. The diagnostic instrument consists of 30 fast infrared diode array components, the system calibration confirmed by the experiment: the time response of 0.5 μs; spatial resolution of 10 mm; temperature measurement accuracy of less than 5 ℃; measurement range 250 ~ 1200 ℃. The two dimensional distribution of the measured first wall in the case of a rupture of the plasma volume can be given and a temperature change of one percent of the temperature of the first wall at rupture can be given. It provides a powerful measure for the rapid change of wall temperature and energy deposition process of tokamak during rupture.
