苏丹的广大地区分布着膨胀性土。气候干燥,旱季持续九个月而雨季仅三个月。在雨季里,水能渗透到一定深度使土膨胀,而随后又产生收缩,这样就导致季节性的窿胀和沉降,好象地面“呼吸运动”。试验土样是取自青尼罗河省瓦德迈达尼的纳赛尔医学院拟建场地。对于影响体积变化的重要因素所造成的粘土膨胀特性,过去在苏丹没有做过研究。本文目的是为了研究膨胀性粘土的初始湿度对于在完全饱和时的上胀力的影响。
Swelling soil is distributed throughout the Sudan. The climate is dry, with the dry season lasting nine months and the rainy season only three months. In the rainy season, the water can penetrate to a certain depth to expand the soil, and then contract again, which causes seasonal swell and settlement, as if the ground was “breathing.” The test soil samples were taken from the proposed site of Nasser Medical College in Wade Messane, Blue Nile. There has been no study in Sudan in the past for the characteristics of clay expansion caused by important factors affecting volume change. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of the initial moisture content of the swelling clay on the uplift force at full saturation.
