Volatile halohydrocarbons (VHHs) attract the attention of the public for causing environmental pollution and causing cancer. Determination of VHHs by static head space assay requires large water samples (50 ml), low sensitivity and limited application. This paper presents a selection of the two cooling concentration systems for blown-air elution and dynamic cooling and trapping, and the optimal conditions for the VHHs to enter the capillary column in a water sample of only 3 ml, and greatly improve the sensitivity, can be used for analyzing Yanak grade VHHs in rainwater.
