一般来说,下述两种自动报警系统都是用来向车辆和行人表示列车正在接近平交道口,但工作特点各不相同。 第1种是传统的自动报警系统。列车在接近平交道口的距离为S=V_(max)·t_(warn)时报警。V_(max)为列车在平交道口区段内允许的最大运行速度;t_(warn)是报警时间,不同类型报警装置的报警时间从20s至40s不等。报警时间的定义为自平交道口设备启动至列车到达平交道口的这一段所持续的时间。

In general, the following two automatic alarm systems are used to indicate to vehicles and pedestrians that trains are approaching a level crossing, but work characteristics vary. The first is the traditional automatic alarm system. The train will alarm when the distance to the level crossing is S = V_ (max) · t_ (warn). V_ (max) is the maximum allowable speed of the train in the section of level crossing; t_ (warn) is the alarm time, and the alarm time of different types of alarm devices varies from 20s to 40s. The alarm time is defined as the duration of the period from when the level crossing equipment is activated until the train reaches the level crossing.
