In 1991, the Regional Center for Contemporary Art Collection (FRAC) decided to focus its collection on a specific area, namely the relationship between art and architecture. For this purpose, the center began collecting architectural plans and collecting artists’ works. Needless to say, this approach does not simply create any confusion between artworks and buildings. On the contrary, it believes that artists and architects can share a common aesthetic field and together raise the issue of processing space. In its complex range of collections, all collections increasingly involve the arts in creating public places. And construction problems.
