在20世纪80年代末被引入中国翻译界的接受理论是文学研究中的新领域,从这一角度来探讨译者和读者在翻译中的作用,以及读者意识确立的重要性是一种全新的尝试。本文从接受理论的视角出发,分析了赛珍珠在翻译《水浒传》过程中以传承中国文化,让西方读者了解原汁原味的文化为翻译目的,讨论其在英译过程中接受理论的应用以及文化意义。
The theory of acceptance, which was introduced into Chinese translators in the late 1980s, is a new field in literary studies. From this perspective, it is entirely new to explore the role of translators and readers in translating and the importance of reader’s awareness try. Based on the theory of acceptance, Pearl Buck analyzed the purpose of Pearl S. Buck in translating “Outlaws of the Marsh” in order to inherit Chinese culture and let Western readers understand the authentic culture, and to discuss its application in the process of English translation and Cultural significance.
