据不完全统计,自1854年至建国,澳大利亚共举办了26届展览会,英国在这些展览会的举办中起到了重要的作用。澳大利亚展览会具有举办早且不间断、融入世界、注重环境保护、改善和原住民的关系等特点。澳大利亚展览会的举办不仅促进经济、社会、文化发展,而且还是澳大利亚政治上逐渐自立的一个体现和见证。
According to incomplete statistics, from 1854 to the founding of New Zealand, Australia held 26 exhibitions, and the United Kingdom played an important role in the holding of these exhibitions. The Australian exhibition has the characteristics of holding early and uninterrupted, integrating into the world, focusing on environmental protection, and improving relations with Indigenous Peoples. The holding of the Australian Exhibition not only promotes economic, social and cultural development but also represents and testifies to Australia’s gradual political independence.
