This paper begins with a brief introduction of Taoism and Zen’s contribution to the history of Chinese art, and then analyzes whether non-figurative artists are influenced by Taoism and Zen Buddhism. By visiting several representative Chinese abstract artists, it is proved that Chinese ancient philosophical thought, especially Zen Buddhism and Taoism, not only brought artistic inspiration to many Chinese dynastic artists, but also inspired contemporary artists. Here we can say that the artist’s art path of abstract painting did not leave the traditional Chinese sources. Instead, he can see that many painters started from ancient Chinese philosophical thought. Although they draw abstract paintings from the West, like many foreign abstract artists, , Has been inspired and influenced by certain Chinese Taoism and Zen art thoughts.
