长城币是人民币发行史上第一次高成本、精加工、批量成套制造流通硬币。其目的不管是为了丰富流通辅币品种,还是为了进军国际钱币市场创造中国硬币品牌,都成就了人民币家族中的奇葩币种。在人民币的流通硬币中有一个独特的币种——长城币。由于其发行量少,发行时间短,材质、面值、币体和图案独特,加之发行的时段在流通纪念币发行的前夜,被认为是当代中国流通纪念币的开山鼻祖和试机币。1979年6月15日中国人民银行指令沈阳造币厂设计试铸长城流通币。同年12月
The Great Wall Coin is the first time in the history of the RMB issuance. Its purpose is to enrich the circulation of coin varieties, or to enter the international coin market to create the Chinese coin brand, have made the odd-numbered currency in the RMB family. There is a unique currency in the RMB circulation coins - the Great Wall coins. Due to its low circulation, short issuance time, unique materials, denomination, currency and pattern, coupled with the issue of circulation time on the eve of circulation of commemorative coins, is considered to be the originator and test currency of contemporary Chinese circulating commemorative coins. June 15, 1979 People’s Bank of China instructed Shenyang Mint to design and test Great Wall circulation currency. In the same year in December
