Background: On April 18, the executive meeting of the State Council discussed and approved the “Energy-saving and New Energy Automobile Industry Development Plan (2012-2020)”. The meeting pointed out that to speed up the cultivation and development of energy-saving and new-energy automobile industries is of great significance for alleviating the pressure on energy and the environment, for promoting the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry and for fostering new economic growth points.
